The 2022 Nissan Frontier gets a good head start with the excellent base S trim. Like all versions of the Frontier, it comes with a 3.6-liter V6 engine that delivers an impeccable 310 horsepower and 281 lb-ft of torque. Connecting to this engine is a smooth nine-speed automatic transmission. Rear-wheel-drive is the default set-up, though if you want a little more traction, all versions of the Frontier have the option of four-wheel-drive with low range gearing. Tons of plentiful features are available for the S trim as it comes with 16-inch wheels, a push-button start, cloth upholstery, and a tilt-only steering wheel. A massive amount of tech is also available for the S as it gets an 8-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and a six-speaker sound system. Safety has always been a top priority for Nissan which is why it comes standard with a massive amount of safety features, including a forward collision mitigation system that will warn you of an impending collision and can apply the brakes in certain situations.

We move up to the spectacular SV from the base S trim, which provides drivers with some new features and a few excellent option packages. Standard features for the SV include 17-inch wheels and a power-adjustable front seat. Optional is a Convenience Package which adds some superb creature comforts to the mix, including spray-in bedliner, adjustable bed tie-down cleats, bed under-rail lighting, heated mirrors, a heated leather-wrapped steering wheel, and heated front seats. With this package, you also get a trailer hitch with a wiring harness, proximity keyless entry, and dual-zone automatic climate control. Next, we have the Premium package, which takes things to the next level with a 10-speaker Fender sound system, simulated leather upholstery, LED headlights, and a sunroof.

Last but not least, we have the Pro-4X trim level, and it has some unique advanced features. It comes standard with Bilstein shock absorbers, extra skid plates, a locking rear differential, LED headlights, all-terrain tires, and a larger 9-inch touchscreen. Additionally, a Pro Convenience package adds more exciting features, such as a 360-degree camera and a terrific wireless smartphone charging pad. You can also opt for the Pro Premium package with leather upholstery. Several safety features are available for the Pro-4X, making the Frontier a well-rounded pickup. Keeping you safe are systems like lane departure warning, a blind-spot monitor with rear-cross traffic alert, automatic rear braking, and adaptive cruise control.
