The All-New 2022 Nissan Pathfinder – Arriving Soon
The all-new redesigned 2022 Nissan Pathfinder will soon begin arriving at Fred Martin Nissan. Production has officially started and will be rolling off the Smyrna Vehicle Assembly Plant in Tennessee.
Overdue for a new look, Nissan revealed in February a huge makeover for their all-new Pathfinder. Compared to it’s predecessor, Nissan is embracing a more SUV-like styling, with a larger front fascia that has a wider stance and a shorter front overhang, enhanced wheel arches, and floating rooflines.
On the interior, the Pathfinder goes modern with an optional 12.3-Inch Digital Dashboard and a 10.8-Inch Heads-Up Display, or opt for the standard 10-Inch Digital Dashboard and 8-Inch Touchscreen. Both being a huge improvement in functionality and design from the previous model. There is also an upgraded audio system with 13 speakers that optional with wireless Apple CarPlay. Nissan also managed to create a quieter interior by using acoustic laminated front glass, thicker 2nd-Row glass, and improved floor insulation.
As for capacity, the all-new 2022 Nissan Pathfinder has plenty of space with available seating up to 8 passengers, and buyers now have the option to upgrade the 2nd-Row to Captain’s Chair. The 60/40 split-folding 3rd-Row seats allows for more cargo-carry ease as well.
In the engine compartment, the 3.5-Liter V6 with direct injection is carried over onto the new model, continuing to produce 284 horsepower and 259 lb-ft of torque. The older CVT however is being replaced by a 9-Speed automatic transmission. Overall the with optional 4-Wheel Drive, the Nissan Pathfinder also boasts best-in-class 6,000 pounds of towing capacity.
