The two-row, five-passenger Altima sedan is easily recognizable thanks to its sleek exterior design but this model also comes loaded with modern features from technology to safety that deliver a comfortable driving experience each and every day. Nissan has taken this sedan that we all know and love and made it even better for the 2021 model year! There are a number of key changes made throughout the Altima lineup that make it even easier to find the trim level that best suits your needs. Keep reading down below as we dive into what those changes are!

The Lineup

For the 2021 model year, the Altima’s lineup has been redesigned to better meet the needs of its drivers. The lineup now consists of the entry-level S model that is reconfigured with new safety features, the SV model that has been reconfigured for volume, the SV trim outfitted with the Premium package, the SL, and lastly the Platinum.

For the 2021 model year, the S model comes with a six-speaker audio system with 6×5” rear P-Shelf audio speakers, a 5” meter display, and a 7” touchscreen display. The S model also offers the S model outfitted with the available the S Driver Assist Package Option that adds rear sonar system, rear automatic braking, rear cross-traffic alert, and blind-spot warning. Nissan also offers additional safety features like automatic headlights on/off with high beam assist, lane departure warning, and automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection.

The SV trim level is now configured for volume! Nissan has created a new available package for this trim called the SV Premium Package. Features included consist of a panel moonroof, exhaust finishers, intelligent lane intervention, electronic parking brake with auto-hold, ProPILOT Assist, leather shift knob, a leather steering wheels, a driver seat with two-way power lumbar adjustment, heated front seats, and single heated outside mirrors with LED turn signal indicators.

The Nissan Alimta also offers two sport-oriented models for the 2021 model year. The base model is SR and the SR VC-T. For the 2021 model year, the SR model can be outfitted with the SR Premium Package which adds many of the same features like a driver’s seat with two-way power lumbar adjustment, heated front seats, heated outside mirrors with LED turn signal indicators, and a single panel moonroof from the SV’s available premium package.
