2020 Nissan Murano vs Hyundai Santa Fe Akron OH
2020 Nissan Murano vs Hyundai Santa Fe
Now is the perfect time to get behind the wheel of the SUV of your dreams. However, this great journey can be tricky, especially with all of the amazing midsize models out there on the market today. Here at Fred Martin Nissan, we want to make this process easier by taking two of the top competitors and comparing them against each other to figure out which one you should be buying. The first SUV we are looking at is the 2020 Nissan Murano, which features Nissan Safety Shield 360 on almost all of the trim levels, a new paint color, a great standard V6 engine, and comfortable seating. The other vehicle we are looking at is the 2020 Hyundai Santa Fe. This option loses its top-level trim, adds safety on the Limited trim, and revises the feature availability. Keep reading to find out more!
2020 Nissan Murano Power & Handling
One standard engine is in charge of keeping the 2020 Murano moving. This engine is a 3.5-liter V6, which can get up to 240 pound-feet of torque, and around 260 horsepower. A perk that many people will enjoy is that it works on regular unleaded gasoline, and it doesn’t have that annoying idle start/stop system. Another bonus is the use of a continuously variable automatic transmission, otherwise known as Xtronic. This transmission feels very much like a regular automatic transmission. The standard drivetrain here is FWD, although every single trim is available with AWD if that’s your preference!
2020 Hyundai Santa Fe Power & Handling
The standard engine with the 2020 Santa Fe is a 2.4-liter 4-cylinder, which can output around 178 pound-feet of torque and 185 horsepower. There is another engine available, but only with the Limited trim. This engine is a turbocharged 2.0-liter 4-cylinder, which creates 235 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque. Both of these engines get an eight-speed automatic transmission, along with either FWD or AWD. While having two options is a bonus, the standard engine with the Murano outpaces both.
2020 Nissan Murano Features & Design
Another major perk of the Murano is the great trim lineup that you’ll be able to choose from. Standard features, with the S trim, include 18-inch alloy wheels, an eight-inch touchscreen infotainment system, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and automatic emergency braking. Another trim to consider, SV, includes a leather-wrapped steering wheel, a Nissan Safety Shield 360 system, roof rails, rear parking sensors, and a power-adjustable driver’s seat. Sitting at the top of the lineup is Platinum, which adds a dual-pane panoramic moonroof, ventilated front seats, semi-aniline leather seat, and NissanConnect Services.
2020 Hyundai Santa Fe Features & Design
Three trims are offered with the Santa Fe. Standard features include Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, automatic emergency braking, a noise-reducing windshield, and adaptive cruise control. Another available trim, SEL, includes leather upholstery, a power-adjustable driver’s seat, push-button start, and heated front seats. The highest trim, Limited, adds a heated steering wheel, ventilated front seats, Blind View Monitor, and an upgraded eight-inch touchscreen display with navigation.
