2018 Nissan Rogue – First U.S. Nissan to Offer ProPILOT Assist

Nissan recently announced that the new 2018 Nissan Rogue, its number one selling vehicle throughout the 2017 model year, will be its first U.S. vehicle to come with available ProPILOT™ Assist Technology.

Nissan’s ProPILOT™ Assist Technology is paving the way for the future of fully autonomous vehicles. It utilizes a forward-facing camera, forward-facing radar, sensors and electronic control module to help the driver stay in the center of the driving lane and maintain a vehicle speed set by the driver. It can also help maintain a safe gap between the vehicle in front if that vehicle’s speed drops below the driver-set speed and it can bring the vehicle to a complete stop on its own.

Driver input always takes priority and overrides the ProPILOT system

if the driver needs to change lanes, accelerate, or apply the brakes. Nissan’s goal is to create a more confident driving experience while lessening driver fatigue from navigating stop-and-go traffic.

Other available safety technologies on the Rogue include Intelligent Around View® Monitor with Moving Object Detection, radar-based Blind Spot Warning, Lane Departure Warning, Intelligent Lane Intervention, and standard Automatic Emergency Braking.

The 2018 Rogue offers a desirable combination of compact overall size and ample interior roominess. Inside, Rogue offers exceptional passenger and cargo flexibility provided by its innovative EZ Flex Seating System™ and Divide-N-Hide® Cargo System.

All 2018 Rogue’s are available with an intuitive All-Wheel Drive system or front-wheel drive and a responsive 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine rated at 170 horsepower. Fuel economy is projected at 29 mpg combined for front-wheel-drive models and 27 mpg combined for all-wheel-drive.

Every 2018 Rogue features standard NissanConnect with Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™ capabilities and a 7.0-inch color touch-screen display. GPS Navigation is also available through NissanConnect. A power panoramic moon roof and motion-activated lift gate are also available on all models.

Following the 2018 Rogue, ProPILOT Assist will be available next on the 2018 Nissan Leaf starting January next year. The 2018 Nissan Rogue  is already on sale at Nissan dealers nationwide. Pricing starts at $24,680!
